Robotic surgery is becoming more common in cancer care. A large study looked at over 1 million patients who had robotic surgery, regular keyhole surgery, or open surgery for cancer. The goal was to see which option helped people the most.
The study found that robotic surgery patients had less bleeding, fewer side effects, and were less likely to need another surgery. They also left the hospital sooner. The only thing that took longer was the surgery itself.
This means that robotic surgery might be a better option for people with cancer. It’s especially helpful in hard-to-reach areas of the body. If you’re facing cancer treatment, talk to your doctor about whether robotic surgery could help you heal better and faster.
